Published Sep 17, 2020Tiger King's Carole Baskin is once again branching out from the hugely popular Netflix series — and this time it will be with her very own spinoff show.
While Baskin already appeared on Dancing with the Stars, the big cat crusader is now getting her own unscripted reality series through ITV America's Thinkfactory Media, Variety reports.
While the series so far doesn't have a title or network, it will feature Carole Baskin and her husband Howard as they "spotlight the histories, lawsuits and animal rights violations associated with various organizations," according to the report.
The series will apparently be taken to market immediately and pitched to a variety of content hubs.
"This is a chance for us to use our new platform to battle the everyday evils facing big cats and so many other animals," said the Baskins in a joint statement. "Working with Thinkfactory on this show will help us further our life's mission, while bringing important stories and information to 'cool cats and kittens' across the country."
Thinkfactory CEO Adam Reed added: "This partnership and new series fall right into Thinkfactory's wheelhouse, offering a unique new format with incredibly vibrant and passionate individuals at its center. Carole and Howard are fun, intense, unpredictable, wildly driven, and, oh yeah, they've very recently become pop culture sensations. We're excited this project will offer them an opportunity to propel their work in unconventional and heart-pounding new ways."
The news of the show comes after Carole Baskin recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars on ABC, where she performed to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" (obviously).
During the broadcast, the family of her late husband Don Lewis also aired a commercial asking viewers to come forward with any information they may have on his mysterious disappearance in 1997. As Tiger King laid out, the whole event has left a cloud of suspicion over Baskin.
