Published Apr 05, 2018Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi's Spanish-language sex jam "Despacito" has proven to be an unstoppable force since it was first released in January 2017. After being covered by Bert & Ernie and temporarily ruined by Justin Bieber, the song has maintained its enormous level of popularity. In fact, the track's official video is now the most-watched upload in YouTube history.
We're not just talking about music videos, either. Yesterday (April 4), the video for "Despacito" surpassed the 5 billion mark in views. As Variety reports, that means it's the most popular video on YouTube, period.
Last year, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" dethroned long-standing YouTube leader "Gangnam Style" with the most views. Now, however, it's all about the sexy, sultry acoustic guitars or "Despacito."
It's worth noting that the mega-viral video is the version of the song that doesn't feature Bieber. His video of the song is sitting at a mere 7.6 million views.
Although they probably don't need the traffic, you may as well watch "Despacito" again below. Hell, why not.
