Selena Gomez Fires Shots at Justin Bieber on New Song "Lose You to Love Me"
Selena Gomez has been quiet on the musical front since last year's "Taki Taki" collab, but she's just unleashed her first solo single of 2019.

"Lose You to Love Me" was co-written by Gomez, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and it features production by Mattman & Robin and Billie Eilish's brother and producer Finneas.

"This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album," Gomez said in a statement. "I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one's life. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself."

Naturally, fans are already suspecting that the song is about her high-profile ex, Justin Bieber, thanks to lines like, "You set fire to my purpose" and "In two months, you replaced us" — a possible dig at the fact that Bieber was back with Hailey Baldwin shortly after "Jelena" ended for the last time. Bieber and Baldwin have since been married.

There's also the line, "You sang off-key in my chorus, 'cause it wasn't yours" — which is pretty self-explanatory if you've ever heard the leaked Gomez/Bieber collaboration "Can't Steal Our Love."

"Lose You to Love Me" arrives with a black-and-white video that was shot entirely on an iPhone by director Sophie Muller.
