The Frogs Announce 40th Anniversary Tour with Lemonheads' Evan Dando
Cult indie project the Frogs — a band celebrated by everyone from Kurt Cobain to Smashing Pumpkins — are heading out on a 40th anniversary tour. And playing with Frogs founder Jimmy Flemion for the duration of the trek will be none other than Lemonheads leader Evan Dando.

The tour will kick off in Canada with a show in Vancouver on February 14. From there, the Frogs will hit a select series of cities in the U.S.

"Performing their prolific discography, the tour will include sounds spanning decades of iconic songs that have set the tone for rock today," a press release promises.

These will mark the first live shows from the Frogs since Jimmy Flemion's brother and bandmate Dennis passed away in 2012.

In a statement, Jimmy Flemion had this to say:

What do you do when one day your brother is here one day and the next day he's not. You honour him and yourself by always holding yourself to the high standards that he wanted for us and you give thanks for the blessings that have happened in our careers. We were and are artists who see and saw the world in our own way. Whatever we created was a reflection of what exists and the truth. We sing and sang of characters and ourselves but always through a window of love. Music has always been my saving grace, it's given me a purpose and a deep feeling of why I believe I'm here. The Frogs were always Dennis and me. It will never be the same again. No matter what, I will always continue to make music because it is in my soul and always will be.
