Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' Is Still Expected to Arrive on July 17
Tenet, which is being billed as director Christopher Nolan's "most ambitious film" yet, did not have a release date in place when its most recent trailer dropped. That said, industry insiders are suggesting that the film will still arrive on its planned July 17 release date.

As Deadline reports, Cinemark CEO told his employees that the film is still expected to arrive on the previously planned date.

"We've been in close contact with Warner Bros. and they remain optimistic and positive as well as Christopher Nolan about the July 17 opening," Mark Zoradi said. "Of course, it depends on the continued positive movement due to the decline of COVID-19 and government restrictions being reduced."

Warner Bros. had previously suggested that it needs 80 percent of theatres to be reopened for Tenet to be profitable. American theatre chains are expected to begin reopening later this month. As of press time, it's not yet known when Canadian cinemas will reopen.

Tenet is described as "an action epic from the world of international espionage," and its cast includes John David WashingtonRobert PattinsonElizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
