Kurt Vile Announces 'Bottle It In' LP, Shares 'Bassackwards'
After mapping out a tour and sharing new track "Loading Zones," Kurt Vile has finally revealed plans for his next full-length album. Titled Bottle It In, the LP is due out on October 12 via Matador Records.
The new record hears Vile continuing to explore new sonic directions, often inspired by actual excursions while on tour or family road trips over the course of the last two years.
Among his stand-out moments since 2015's b'lieve I'm goin' down, Vile released a collaborative album with Courtney Barnett, opened for Neil Young in front of 90,000 people in Quebec City and became a Jeopardy! clue.
During his travels to California he met with new and returning collaborators like the Sadies, as well as producer Rob Schnapf (who recorded a new track with Warpaint's Stella Mozgawa, Mary Lattimore and Cass McCombs).

In Salt Lake City, Vile recorded several songs with engineer Shawn Everett; in Portland and Brooklyn, he recorded with producer and Violators member Rob Laakso; in Connecticuit, he worked with Peter Katis.
About to embark on a lengthy tour in support of the new album, Vile is more conscious than ever about leaving his loved ones behind at home.
"It's like that moment on the airplane when you're on your way somewhere and you have that burst of panic," Vile said in a statement. "When you're terrified of dying, that's when you want people to know you love them."
