Scott Walker 'Epizootics!' (video)
Scott Walker previously released a snippety trailer for his upcoming Bisch Bosch LP that had us once again scratching our heads over the crooner's current crop of left-field soundscapes, but embedded in the sonic mêlée was the somewhat dancey "Epizootics!" A video for the cut has now been released, and it even further confirms that this could be the foot-shuffler of the bunch.

A slow-motion hula dancer is the first star of the vid, and she hypnotically hefts her grass skirt from side to side to the slinking synth-and-drum pattern. Elsewhere, a couple jump and jive to an industrial-tinged back section of film-noir brass blasts.

The near 10-minute song is relentless with its weirdness — amped up by Walker's schmaltzy albeit arty croon — but somehow becomes even more unsettling with its final uke-driven melody.

Check it out below, and remember that Bisch Bosch arrives December 4 through 4AD.
