Published Dec 11, 2020Now that Neon Dreams have wrapped up their extensive "Atlantic Bubble Tour," the duo have returned with one last single to finish off the year.
Their new song — titled "Times Square" — and its accompanying music video see the band falling into quite the sentimental mood, as vocalist Frank Kadillac wanders around New York City soaking up the city lights while singing about true love, fate and destiny.
"I come from a place where seeing people in love was only in movies," he said. "I was always curious about love and everything that came with it. Being a musician, I realized most of my relationships and friendships are going to be long-distance until I stop touring. That's a true challenge in its self."
With piano scenes shot in Newfoundland only a matter of weeks ago, Neon Dreams' new video was the product of years worth of shooting.
"We originally started filming this two years ago in New York — it was one of the coldest nights in the city and about 4 a.m. when we were taking these shots... but I didn't think the song was going to come out so we stopped working on the video," the band wrote in a statement. "Years later we realized how beautiful the song is and rebooted the video and finished the piano scenes in Corner Brook."
Earlier this year, the band released their sophomore album The Happiness of Tomorrow.
