Watch Shawn Mendes Explain Ontario Slang
Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes is here to explain regional Ontario slang, plus a few nationwide phrases that might have you feeling a tad patriotic.

In a new video for Vanity Fair's Slang School series, the Pickering native goes in-depth on a variety of Canadian, Ontarian and Durham region sayings. After giving a brief geography lesson about Ajax, ON, the singer educates his fans on a selection of somewhat esoteric phrases including "darts," "26," "mickey," "Scarberia" "Famous Players," "whose mans," "what you sayin'," "that's jokes," "washroom," "Timmies," "toque" and "bare."

Meanwhile, Mendes is fresh off the release of his new single "Monster," which he recorded with fellow Canadian wunderkind Justin Bieber. Listen to that here, and revisit Exclaim!'s review of his recent Netflix documentary In Wonder.
